Z&X Mechanical Installations, with over 30 years experience in the field and a strong reputation, was proudly appointed as the mechanical engineering company to undertake, supply, install and complete all below works from scratch. 


A 7-floor main hotel with 84 rooms including suites as well as public areas  such as bars and restaurants, etc.


An extension comprising of 8 3 & 4 floor blocks with an extra 119 rooms


3 public pools (2 of which are indoor in the spa area)


34 private pools for the ground floor extension rooms


A full description of the works is listed below.

(A)

The air conditioning systems consist of:

A number of outdoor VRF systems throughout the hotel for all areas.


Indoor VRF Units, both ceiling concealed with grills and Cassete type.


Several split unit type AC units where appropriate.


Air handling units (AHU) with DX coils supplying heating or cooling to reception area level 6, and indoor pools area level 0 in the Spa. The climatised air is circulated from these machines via ducting and grills within the ceilings.

(B) 

Domestic hot water production plant:

A network of PPR piping (Hot, Cold, Return) distributing water throughout the hotel to all rooms, staff and public areas as required.


A solar system is installed on the roof to provide domestic hot water heating. The Solar system is using all the available solar energy and at times when it is not enough, it is supplemented by 2 diesel boilers.


Two diesel Boilers to supplement the solar system as well as to provide heating and climate control for the indoor pools in the hotel.


The system consists of a number of Solar panels, 4 Hot water cylinders, and 2 Boilers, heat exchanges and circulating pumps.


(C)

A complete plumbing system is installed and consists of:

A network of PPR piping (Hot, Cold, Return) distributing water throughout the hotel to all rooms, staff and public areas as required.


Pex C pipe in pipe piping and manifolds for the piping of all the sanitary fittings for both the hot and cold water.


A complete sewage system consisting of UPVC plastic piping within concrete foundations and in floor screeds, and PPR 12 DB exposed piping within ceilings and risers for all the sanitary fittings to the first outside manhole.


Installation and Connection of all the sanitary fittings to the plumbing and sewage piping and installation of all the accessories.


An inverter pressure pump system is installed to provide high water pressure to all the sanitary fittings, saving water as well as energy.

NETWORK OF PPR WATER PIPES TO SUPPLY HOT AND COLD WATER TO ROOMS WITHIN PASSAGE CEILINGS. ALSO INSTALLED IN PASSAGE CEILINGS IS GALVANISED FIRE HOSE REEL PIPING NETWORK, AND ROOM VENTILATION DUCTING.

PIPE IN PIPE INSTALLED IN FLOOR SCREEDS FROM MANIFOLDS TO WATER POINTS WHERE REQUIRED.

(D)

A complete ventilation and fresh air system is installed and consists of:


Ventilation and fresh air ducting with fans.


(E)

A complete fire fighting system is installed and consists of:

A pump set that sends water to all fire hose reels with a diesel back up in case of power failure.


A galvanised pipe network to distribute water to all fire hose reels.


A separate pump set is provided which sends water to wet risers and sprinkler systems.


Two wet risers, one near each main stairwell to supply water from underground storage tanks or from external sources for firefighting.


Sprinkler systems are installed in three areas as described below.
