The AIM Diagnostic center has started its operation in Paphos and is a true gem and jewel for the Health sector in Cyprus.

The state-of-the-art center, which is located on Demokratia Avenue and Florinis Street in Paphos (a short walk from Stelios Kyriakides Stadium), was designed exclusively to be a radiodiagnostic center, from the beginning to the end. The Center is equipped with Technology and machines that make it the best of its kind in Cyprus and one of the few in Europe. In addition to the latest radiodiagnostic machines, magnetic and axial tomographs, ultrasound and other cutting edge for the new AIM Diagnostic Center is its human resources. A team of specialised health professionals who are ready to serve you in the most humane way.

It also has an important innovation unique in Cyprus and one of the few in Europe in the Magnetic Tomograph. This specific tomograph model is spacious, having a painted tunnel that offers a more pleasant experience to the patient, while in the Magnetic Tomograph area there is a specially designed window, the only one in Cyprus, which allows natural light to enter the room to combat claustrophobia.

Z&X Mechanical Installations completed all the mechanical installations of the diagnostic clinic, which included:

*All the sewage and planning work and the installation of all sanitary fittings.

*Space cooling and heating with high efficiency.

*VRV system and cooling of the MRI machine by installing a high efficiency Daikin chiller.

*Installation of 20KW photovoltaics to cover the energy needs of the clinic.

What is the AIM Diagnostic Center ?

AIM Diagnostic Center is a modern private diagnostic center that participates in GESY and aims to offer all visitors a high level of diagnostic tests. It is located at a key geographical point in the province of Paphos, offering quick and direct access via the main bypass road from the city as well as from all other cities via the national highway.

The AIM Diagnostic Center came to fill the gap presented in the field of diagnostic tests, offering the whole range of machine tests: Magnetic Tomography (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, Digital X-rays, Digital Mammograms – 3D, Bone Density Examinations /Osteoporosis (DEXA) and Panoramic X-rays, always ensuring optimal quality.

Magnetic tomograph with many advantages

Magnetic Tomography is a diagnostic scanning technique that uses a strong wave and radio frequency field. During the examination, several images (sections) of the anatomical area being examined are taken, allowing the doctor to have a detailed picture. The examinee is not exposed to ionizing radiation at all, which makes the examination the first choice for pregnant women and small children.

The AIM Diagnostic Center has the top model Siemens Avanto 18-channel Magnetic Tomograph which comes with the necessary multi-channel coils for conducting Magnetic Tomography examinations. It is a spacious model with a painted tunnel that offers a more pleasant experience to the patient.

In the MRI room there is a specially designed window, the only one in Cyprus, which allows natural light to enter the room to combat claustrophobia.

(A) A Central heating system with DEVI electric under floor heating & 36 No. Touch thermostats is installed to provide space heating.

(B) A solar thermal system is installed to provide domestic hot water and back up for the indoor pool. The Solar system uses all the available solar energy and at times when it’s not enough 2 Calorex heat pumps are switched on through an automated control system.

The solar system consists of 12 TISUN flat plate Solar panels 2.16x 1.18 & a 1500 Litre Hot water cylinder (TISUN PC1500) with solar pump, differential control.

A smart VRV system is installed for the space air conditioning and heating of the villa. The system consists of 3 Daikin air cooled Outdoor units and 43 Indoor units (39 Ceiling concealed with ducts & grills & 4 Concealed floor standing) all controlled by Central touch control. 3 split units are installed in the server room, kitchen and guard house.

The benefits of the air cooled VRV system from the spit unit type air conditioning is the efficiency (20 to 30 % higher), the less number of outdoor units and the ability to install the outdoor units much longer distance from the indoors.

A complete plumbing system is installed consisting of: (a) Central & secondary pipes using copper pipes with insulation and fittings & Pex-C pipe in pipe piping for drinking water through out the residence. (b) A complete sewage system consists of all the PVC plastic piping for all the sanitary fittings to the first outside manhole. A pump station in the garden with 2 Standby / Duty pumps & controls is installed for the basement area. (c) Connection of all the sanitary fittings to the plumbing and sewage piping and installation of all the accessories. (d) A pressure pump system are installed to provide high water pressure to all the sanitary fittings, saving water as well as energy. (e) A Hot water return system with circulating pump is also installed to provide instant hot water via push buttons outside each bathroom. (f) Water softener to provide soft water for domestic use.

The Jacuzzi has a separate filtration pump and filter and a special Spa pump and blower for the water jet inlets of the Jacuzzi. The heating of the pool and ventilation of the enclosed pool area is provided by a Calorex Air handling unit/ heat pump with back up from the solar system.

Finishing an existing un-finished house as well as a newly built smaller structure to serve as the servant’s quarters.

Z&X Mechanical installations is the sub-contractor for finishing all the plumbing and air conditioning works pending at the un-finished house and to find solutions for the additions the customer requests. In addition, we are installing all the provisions in regards to plumbing and air conditioning in the servant’s quarters.

A solar system will be installed to provide domestic hot water. The Solar system is using all the available solar energy and at times when it’s not enough then the gas boiler is switched ON through a smart BMS control system.

The solar system will consist of 3 Solar panels 2.0 x 1.0, 1 300L Hot water cylinder with C.H Coil and a circulating pump with press control.

A clever smart solar system will be installed to provide all the electricity needed for the filtration and circulation system of the swimming pool. It will consist of 8, 250 Watt Photovoltaic panels, 1 solar pump and 1 Controller. This system is enough to keep the swimming pool clean all day long without the use of any electrical supply.

A 5KW Net metering will be installed to provide as much of the electricity needed during the day, as possible. It will consist of 20, 250 Watt Photovoltaic panels.

When it comes to the space air conditioning and heating, split units will be installed, as well as a 40kw Gas Boiler for the heating of the Main House (un-finished) and a 9kw Electric Boiler for the heating of the servant’s quarters. The system for the Main house consists of 4 air cooled Outdoor units, and 7 Indoor units. The system for the servant’s quarters consists of 1 air cooled Outdoor units, and 2 Indoor units.

A complete plumbing system is installed and consists of: (a) pex pipe in pipe piping and manifolds for the piping of all the sanitary fittings for both the hot and cold water as well as the drinking water. (b) a complete sewage system consists of all the pvc plastic piping for all the sanitary fittings to the fist outside manhole. NET METERING

A 5 kw net-metering was installed in one of our customers house in Tala, to reduce his electricity bill. The customer will decrease his electricity bill by 350 euros every 2 months. One of the frustrations of off-grid systems is that the extra energy in the summer months can’t be stored for the winter. Batteries typically store energy for only 3-5 days. When the batteries are full there is no way to store the extra energy. With net metering, you are feeding back your power over the summer and you get credited for it in the winter, therefore you have seasonal storage. It encourages consumers to play an active role in alternative energy production, which both protects the environment and helps preserve natural energy resources. A net metering system gives you the advantages of producing your own clean renewable energy without concern maintenance hassles and with very durable components which have a long life.

A solar system is installed to provide domestic hot water . The Solar system is using all the available solar energy and at times when it’s not enough then Oil boiler is switched ON through a smart BMS control system .

The solar system consists of 32 Solar panels , 3 Hot water cylinders , circulating pumps and solar control station .

( B )

A clever smart solar system is installed to provide all the electricity needed for the filtration and circulation system of the swimming pools . It consists of 48 Photovoltaic panels, 6 Solar pumps and 6 Controllers . This system is enough to keep the swimming pool clean and hygiene all day long without the use of any electrical supply.

( C )

A smart VRV system is installed for the space air conditioning and heating . The system consists of 16 air cooled Outdoor units and 160 Indoor units . The benefits of the air cooled VRV system from the spit unit type air conditioning is the efficiency ( 20 to 30 % higher ) , the less number of outdoor units and the ability to install the outdoor units much longer .

A complete plumbing system is installed consists of : ( a) pex pipe in pipe piping and manifolds for the piping of all the sanitary fittings for both the hot and cold water as well as the drinking water . A solar system is installed to provide domestic hot water and indoor Olympic size swimming pool. The Solar system is using all the available solar energy and at times when it’s not enough then gas boiler is switched ON through a smart BMS control system .

The solar system consists of 24 Solar panels , 2 Hot water cylinders , circulating pumps and solar control station .

A clever smart solar system is installed to provide all the electricity needed for the filtration and circulation system of the swimming pools . It consists of 36 Photovoltaic panels, 6 Solar pumps and 6 Controllers . This system is enough to keep the swimming pool clean and hygiene all day long without the use of any electrical supply.
